To describe:
The factors that are useful for explaining the blue color of the atmosphere. Also, determine the process that is responsible for the determination of sunset colors.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
The atmosphere can be defined as the layer of several gases that is commonly called air and surrounds the Earth. The atmosphere is retained by the gravity of the earth.
The color of the lower atmosphere is blue due to the process of scattering. The molecules present in the air are capable of scattering blue color light from the sun as compared to the red light. These tiny molecules are responsible for scattering blue color light in all directions.
The color of the sunset is also determined by the process of scattering. During the process of scattering, small molecules and the particles present in the atmosphere alters the direction of the light rays.
