Answer to Problem 1FTD

The fundamental differenc is that the Leptons are particles that don’t experience strong force and hadrons are which experience strong force.

Explanation of Solution

Leptons are particles that don’t experience strong force. Every lepton has its anti particle. There are six lepton-anti lepton pairs. Leptons have spin 12 . So; they are fermions and will obey Pauli’s exclusion principle.

All baryons are hadrons which experience strong force. Baryons also have spin 12 and thereby obey Pauli’s exclusion principle.

Conclusion: Therefore, fundamental difference is that the Leptons are particles that don’t experience strong force and hadrons are which experience strong force.
