Answer to Problem 1RQ

The five changes made to air for its conditioning is heating, cooling, humidifying, dehumidifying and cleaning.

Explanation of Solution

The atmospheric air contains a lot of impurities which can harm the human body in many ways. The normal atmospheric air contains moisture, odor, poisonous gases as well as dust particles, etc. Air conditioning is the process to remove these impurities from the air and make it clean to comfort the human body.

To clean air for conditioning it is necessary to make some changes. The major five changes that are required to make in the air for conditioning are listed below:

  1. Heating:

Atmospheric air is heated to higher temperatures to kill the bacteria and germs present in it.

  2. Cooling:

Heated air then cooled so that it can be adequate for human comfort.

  3. Humidifying:

Air is humidified to add some moisture in it.

  4. Dehumidifying:

Air is dehumidified to remove the excess moisture from it.

  5. Cleaning:

Cleaning of air includes removing any smell, bacteria and dust particles present in it.

Conclusion:

Thus, the five changes made to air for its conditioning is heating, cooling, humidifying, dehumidifying and cleaning.
