Summary Introduction
The nasogastric tubes can be inserted to drain or decompress the stomach fluid or the unwanted content of the stomach includes medicine, air or poison. It also allows to relax the gastrointestinal tract after and before the abdominal surgery to assist healing and position to check gastrointestinal bleeding. Usually, the nasogastric tube is used postoperatively as a regular section of care after the significant surgery of abdomen to encourage healing and to relax the intestinal tract.
