Consider the points of the line ( 0 , 9 ) and ( 12 , 57 ) . Evaluate the slope of the line by applying the formula m = y 2 − y 1 x 2 − x 1 . Here, x 1 = 0 , y 1 = 9 , x 2 = 12 , y 2 = 57 Substitute the values in the formula. m = 57 − 9 12 − 0 = 48 12 = 4 Therefore, the slope of the line is m = 4
