Introduction:

Adaptive immune response can be developed either by active immunity or passive immunity. Active immunity takes place when a person develops his own immune response against a pathogen. It is also developed through vaccination. Passive immunity develops in an individual through transfer of antibodies and immune cells. It can occur naturally as well as artificially.
