Introduction

The Gestalt approach strived to define perceptual principles as seemingly inherent mental laws that determine the means through which things are perceived. It participates in the thought that whole objects are perceived dissimilarly from the sum of their parts, which applies to various psychological phenomena, emphasizing that regardless of what the material is, it is one's tendency to bias that plays a role in the origin of this perception, for example, looking for faces in nonexistent objects.
