Chronic budget deficit refers to the situation of government budget deficit due increased government expenditure or spending and decreased amount of tax received.

The government budget deficit is related to the inflation rates in Argentina. In 2014, prices in the country increased but the revenue creation in Argentina was under pressure which did not allowed the government to increase its taxes. This increased spending does not match the level of revenues which the government earned and its inability to borrow from the world resulted in the situation of chronic budget deficit in the country.

Therefore, budgetary deficit put pressure to redeem certain fiscal policies which lead to increased inflation rates in the country.
