Chapter 3, Problem 3CT
Summary Introduction
To review:
The reason as to why the cardiac muscle ischemia is more life-threatening than the skeletal muscle ischemia.
Introduction:
Ischemia is a medical condition, in which the blood supply to different parts of the body or the organs is reduced. Ischemia occurs due to the blockage of the blood vessels (arteriosclerosis) that lead to the affected area or organ.
This condition is generally not fatal and can be treated by increasing the circulation of the affected area. However, the ischemia of the cardiac muscles can prove to be life-threatening for the patient.

There is a species of eagle, which lives in a tropical forest in Brazil. The alula pattern of its wings is determined by a single autosomal gene with four alleles that exhibit an unknown hierarchy of dominance. Genetic testing shows that individuals 1-1, 11-4, 11-7, III-1, and III-4 are each homozygous.
How many possible genotypes among checkered eagles in the population?
