Definition of an Organization and comparison between technical and behavioral definition of an organization:

Technical definition:

• An organization has stable, formal social structure that takes resources from environment and processes them to produce outputs is defined as technical definition of an organization.
• Technical definition of an organization is focuses on three elements. They are as follows.
  • Capital.
  • Labor.
  • Production and products for consumption.
• This definition also implies that the organization are more stable when compared to an informal group, a formal legal entities, and are social structures.

Behavioral definition:

• An organization is a collection of rights, privileges, obligations, and responsibilities that are delicately balance over a period is defined as behavioral definition of an organization.
• They highlights the people within the organization, their ways of working, and their relationships.

Comparison between technical and behavioral definition of an organization:

Technical definition	Behavioral definition
Technical method is based on mathematical and the normative models.	Behavioral method is based on the impact of the behavior and response of the people in the organization.
They deals with information systems, physical technology and formal capabilities of the systems.	Behavioral system of information system deal with behavior issues from the developed system.
They emphasis mathematically based models, looks at physical and formal capabilities and identifying solutions based on formulas.	They deals with the issues like design, implementation, business integration, and management because they cannot computed using formulas.

Explanation of Solution

Features of organizations which helps to organization’s use of information systems:

• Organizational culture:
  • The organizational goals and products create a powerful restraint on change, especially technological change based on assumptions.
• Organizational structure:
  • The information systems reflects on the type of organizational structure such as entrepreneurial, bureaucracy, divisionalized bureaucracy, professional bureaucracy, or adhocracy.
• Organizational environments:
  • There is a reciprocal relationships exist between an organization and environments, information systems provides a way to identify external changes that might require an organizational response.
• Routines and business processes:
  • Standard operating method have been developed that allow the organization to become productive and efficient thereby reducing costs over time.
• Organizational politics:
  • There is a different viewpoints about how resources, rewards, and punishments should be distributed brings about the political resistance to organization change.
