Galileo Galilei made a huge contribution in understanding our Solar system, he gave both theories and observations. His observations were valuable because he was the first person to use telescope to study sky.

He observed Earth like structures on the surface of moons such as mountains, craters and valley and in the case of Sun, dark spots are observed on the surface of Sun. Dark spots are dark areas on Sun that move across the surface.

Galileo also observed phases of Venus, it also also have phases similarly as moon, it changes its appearance as it moves along its orbit.

Galileo discovered Jupiter’s moon initially as three stars and observed that they are in line with each other two of them are located east of planet and one in west, later he discovered all four stars and corrected his assumption that they are not stars but natural satellites or moons of Jupiter and they are later termed as Galilean moons.

Conclusion:

Stellar parallax is not observed using Galileo’s newly invented telescope.  Thus, option (d) is correct.
