An example of an appropriate answer follows: The looking-glass self is how a person imagines that others perceive them. I think others perceive me as competent, fair and compassionate because I try to take the views of others into account when I make choices. I think most people perceive me correctly because most of my relationships with others are not contentious or difficult.
