The sound waves transmitted through the voice circuit have three important characteristics. They are as follows:
- Amplitude
- Frequency
- Phase
Amplitude:
- Amplitude is the height of the wave, which is measured in decibels (dB).
- Amplitude is the volume of sound which our ears can hear.
- Every sound wave has two parts: half above the zero amplitude point is positive and half below is negative.
- Both halves are always of the same height.
