Interpretation:
The identification of the compound as an ionic or a molecular compound and an electrolyte or a non-electrolyte which is used in an intravenous injection for patient in shock.
Introduction:
There are two types of compounds; ionic and molecular, molecular compounds are formed by the sharing of electron between two non-metal elements.
Ionic compounds are those compounds that are formed by the electrostatic force of attraction between cations and anions.
Electrolytes always get dissociated in solution to form ions, whereas non-electrolytes do not ionize, thus it does not conduct electricity.
