Summary Introduction

Introduction

Our five senses form the basis of perception. Using these senses (sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell), we experience the world around us. The specifics of how we experience the world, and the reason we all experience it slightly differently, is due to our differing perceptions of events happening around us. In addition to the five classic senses, we also possess several other lesser known senses. ESP, or extrasensory perception, is controversial among these senses. There are many known sensory organs in the human body. ESP, however, is based on information perceived by means outside of these.
