Introduction:

Flower is a reproductive part of a plant. Some flowers contain only one sex organ either male sex organ called androecium (called staminate) or gynoecium (called pistillate) and are called unisexual flowers. Some have both the sex organs and are called bisexual flowers. There are some plants on which the male and the female flowers grow on same plant. Such plants are called monoecious and the plants in which male and female flowers grow on different plants are called dioecious plants.
