The growth ring, late wood, early wood and a vessel element of given cross section of a woody eudicot. Also draw an arrow in pith-to-cork direction.
Introduction:
The division of lateral meristem results in the thickness and growth of the plant is termed as secondary growth. It increases the thickness of stems and roots.
Wood is a secondary xylem that is made up of the vascular cambium. Thecells that contain large thin-wall termed as early wood and late wood is a small cell that consist of thicker wall. The differences between these two wood cells can be seen as growth rings. The collection of vessel element is termed as a vessel.
