Explanation of Solution

When the infants see a stimulus, they usually pay attention to it and it causes an increase in their heart rate. When the infant see the same stimulus repeatedly, their attention to the same stimulus decreases. This is indicated by a return to slower heart rate. This phenomenon is called habituation.
