Introduction:
RNA polymerase enzyme catalyzes the transcription process in which RNA is synthesized from the DNA template. DNA polymerases are the enzymes that are used for the synthesis of DNA molecule. Reverse transcriptase is the enzyme that is used to produce complementary DNA. RNA replicase helps in the canalization of RNA.
To determine: The similarities and differences of polynucleotide phosphorylase with the above mentioned four enzymes (DNA polymerase, RNA polymerase, reverse transcriptase, and RNA replicase).

Polynucleotide phosphorylase is a bifunctional enzyme that catalyzes the long chains of polyribonucleotide (RNA). RNA polymerase enzyme catalyzes the transcription process in which RNA polymerase is synthesized from the DNA template. DNA polymerases are the enzymes that are used for the synthesis of DNA molecule. Reverse transcriptase is the enzyme that is used to produce complementary DNA. RNA replicase helps in the canalization of RNA.
