Expert Solution & Answer

Answer to Problem 1ASA

The resistors in a series combination are connected in the chain in a single line. The resistors would be connected in parallel if the heads of the resistor are connected together and the legs are connected together.

Explanation of Solution

Components connected via wire to form an electrical circuit, either active or passive. Such electrical components can be combined in series, in parallel or both. Simple electric circuits include or combination of resistors, inductors, and capacitors.

Conclusion:

The resistors in a series combination are connected in the chain in a single line. The current through each resistor is the same. The total resistance of the series connection is equal to the summation of all the individual resistances.

The resistors would be connected in parallel if the heads of the resistor are connected together and the legs are connected together. The voltage across each resistor is the same. The current breaks up when it enters the parallel circuit and combines when the resistors are connected back.
