Introduction:
Transcription is the process of synthesis of mRNA from a single strand of DNA. The strand of DNA which is being copied to form mRNA is termed as the template strand. The DNA strand that corresponds to the RNA is termed as the coding strand. In eukaryotes, transcription occurs in the nucleus.
