Introduction:

Bile salts are the salts that are secreted by the liver. They help in the digestion of fats and lipids. The process of breaking of fats into smaller molecules is called emulsification of fats. They are of two types: Bilirubin and Biliverdin. Bile salts also help in the digestion of extra vitamins.
