Three other risk factors are obesity, family history of heart disease, and stress. Of the group of heart attack patients in Example 4, 213 had a family history of heart disease, 47 of those also suffered from stress but not obesity, 60 were obese but had no stress issues, and 12 were neither stressed nor obese. Stress was a factor for 170 total, 8 of whom had no family history and weren’t obese. There were 396 patients with none of these three risk factors.
- (a) How many of the patients were obese?
- (b) What percentage had all three of these risk factors?
- (c) How many were not obese and did not have a family history of heart disease?
