Summary Introduction
To determine:
The reason that normally voided urine contain bacteria, if the urinary organs and the urine in them are usually axenic.
Concept introduction:
The kidneys, urethra and the ureters are the part of the urinary system in the body. The kidneys function to filter out wastes from the blood and within the urine that is eliminated by the body. The urine and urinary system are axenic means microorganisms are not present in it. This is due to the acidic nature of urine that prevents the growth of microbes.
