Introduction:
HIV refers to a virus, which assaults the immune system cells, that is, the body’s natural defense against the illness. The virus leads to the destruction of a kind of white blood cell known helper T cells and creates duplicates of itself within the cells. Due to the destruction of T-helper cells, the immune system of an individual slowly gets weaken.
After HIV infection, AIDS, that is, the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome is the later stage. When the immune system contains very minute concentrations of CD4 cells, one cannot defend against the things, which generally do not lead to illness in the majority of individuals.
