To determine:

The reason that mutations in genes encoding for DNA repair enzymes often produces a predisposition to cancer.

Introduction:

Mutation is a change in the sequence of genetic material either due to mistake in replication or due to changes in the environment. DNA enzymes have a property of proof reading which prevents any mistake in a nucleotide sequence, but sometimes due to few mistakes during DNA replication are undetectable. These alterations in the nucleotide sequences result in a mutation.
