(a)
To describe: The advantage of indeterminate body plan for plants living in the area having grazing animals.
Introduction: Indeterminate body plan refers to the body of a plant where growth occurs till the death of the plant. The growth in the plant is due to the meristems present in the plants. Apical and intercalary meristem helps to grow the plant in length and lateral meristem in thickness.
(a)

Explanation of Solution
The advantage of the indeterminate growth in plants growing near grazing animals is that they keep growing even when they are grazed by the animals. In a situation when plants cannot grow, then the plants will be extinct from the earth because the animals graze them on a daily basis. Hence, indeterminate body plan is advantageous for the plants.
(b)
To describe: The advantage of indeterminate body plan for the plants that grow in areas where the distribution of water and nutrients changes with time.
Introduction: Season changes at a particular place. The conditions of temperature, rain, humidity changes in different seasons during the ear. The change in season has an impact on the growth of plants and animals.
(b)

Explanation of Solution
Indeterminate growth in plants allows plants to survive for a long time. When the water and minerals are present in a favourable amount, then the plants grow and store the food. The stored food is used when the conditions are not favorable. Suppose, if a plant does not have indeterminate growth, then the plant will die due to unavailability of the water and the minerals. Hence, indeterminate growth is advantageous for the plants to grow when enough water and minerals are available.

She recently returned from a trip to sub-Saharan Africa, where she did not take malaria prophylaxis. On examination, she is febrile (39.8°C/103.6°F) and hypotensive. Laboratory studies reveal hemoglobin of 8.0 g/dL, platelet count of 50,000/μL, and evidence of hemoglobinuria. A peripheral blood smear shows ring forms and banana-shaped gametocytes.
