Summary Introduction

To determine:

The effect on the development of drosophila after puncturing the posterior end of the egg, and allowing a small amount of cytoplasm to leak out, and then injecting that cytoplasm into the anterior end of another egg.

Introduction:

Egg polarity genes are the earliest activated genes, which decide the formation of main body axis; such as dorsal-ventral axis and anterior-posterior axis. Presence of dorsal and bicoid proteins in the nucleus decides formation of the dorsal and ventral axis. Similarly, the presence of nanos protein is responsible for formation anterior and posterior region of an embryo.
