The different immune response to severe bacterial infections and infection with the measles and other viral diseases in an infant and the reason due to which it took so long for the given disorder to become apparent.

Introduction:

It is given that an infant seems healthy until approximately 9 months of age. He develops severe bacterial infections, which are treated successfully with antibiotics. When he is infected with the measles and other viral diseases, the infant recovers without any difficulty.
