To determine:

If two or more elements are in the same row and if elements are in the column what do they have common in the Figure 2.6 “Electron distribution diagrams for the first 18 elements in the periodic table”, in the textbook.

Introduction:

Periodic table is a tabular arrangement of chemical elements on the basis of their atomic number, electronic configuration, and chemical properties. Within a row in the periodic table the elements are metal on the left and non-metals on the right. Table rows are called periods and columns are called group.
