Expert Solution & Answer
Check Mark

Explanation of Solution

The types of roof plans are given below.

  1. Mansard roof
  2. Pyramid roof
  3. Salt box roof
  4. Flat roof
  5. Gambrel roof
  6. Arch roof
  7. Hip roofs
  8. Silicon roofs

Gambrel roof are the roof which have shapes like that were at the time of Dutch settlers in colonial period. These types of roof reduce the cost by minimizing the use of expensive roofing material.

Hip roofs are used for eliminating the roof mass and thus creating the small appearance of the structure.

Mansard roofs are similar to the gambrel with the only difference of having angled roof on all four sides rather than two sides in gambrel roof.
