The ways by which nervous and hormonal systems control blood flow and to describe the importance of the nervous control system in blood flow and to define vasomotor tone.
Introduction:
The flow of blood is not the same in all tissues of the body. Organs like the brain and kidney require high flow while resting skeletal muscles require less blood flow. Local control of blood flow is done by episodic relaxation and contraction of precapillary sphincters. The main function of blood flow includes delivering nutrients, dissipates heat from the body, and removing waste from the body.
