Named constant:

Named constant is similar to a variable which contents cannot be changed during the execution of a program; the contents of the named constants are in read-only format.

The “const” keyword is used before the data type in variable declaration and the variable name is written in the uppercase letter.

Example:

The following statement is used to assign the value “2500” into the named constant variable “AMOUNT”:
