Interpretation: Binding energy should be determined by using Einstein’s equation
Concept Introduction:
Nuclear binding energy: It is the energy required to split an atoms nucleus into protons and neutrons.
Mass defect is the difference between the predicted mass and the actual mass of an atoms nucleus.
The binding energy of a system can appear as extra mass, which accounts for this difference.
Einstein’s equations: Albert Einstein the great scientist proposed the theory of relativity in 1905.
This theory contains two principles:
1) The law of physics appear the same to all observers.
2) In the theory of relativity, that described the fundamental interaction of gravitation as a result of space-time being curved mass and energy.
