Given:

The average sperm count in males is now lower than it was several decades ago. What data might be helpful to formulate a testable hypothesis?

Introduction:

To find and reach the fallopian tube is finding a needle in a haystack. In these ways many sperms are lost. Of the millions of sperms released on ejaculation only 10 to 30 of them make it to the fallopian tube where the egg is released. Therefore, sperm must survive long enough to meet and fertilize the egg. So, a low sperm count or poor sperm quality is the main cause of infertility.
