The reason that the program calls run() method on the GreetingRunnable objects so they would execute in sequence in the same thread, because the threads don’t run in parallel as mentioned in the question. It should create a thread for each and call start on the threads.

• The first call of the run() method would print ten “Hello” messages consecutively.
• The second call of the run() method would print ten “Goodbye” messages consecutively.
