Summary Introduction

To review:

An anaerobic gram positive bacillus found on the skin. This bacterium causes skin infections which are often treated with retinoid or benzoyl peroxide.

Introduction:

Propionibacterium acnesis a gram positive anaerobic rod shaped bacterium which is the common cause of acne. Some of the other infections caused by this bacterium include blepharitis and endophthalmitis.
