The circulatory system is one of the most important systems in the human body; it is also called as the cardiovascular system. The circulatory system nourishes organs with oxygen, along with other important minerals. At the same time, it takes away carbon di-oxide and other waste products from the blood. The circulatory system regulates tissue metabolism. Any malfunction or deficiency in the circulatory system can lead to tissue necrosis and even death of the individual. The important function of the circulatory system is to ensure sufficient blood supply at all times and to respond to the local needs of the tissue.
