Interpretation Introduction

Interpretation:

When the nucleus bombarding with an alpha particle that produces Curium-242. The target nucleus has to be identified.

Concept introduction:

During nuclear reaction sum of all charges and sum of protons and neutrons are preserved.  In a balanced nuclear reaction total of all superscripts of the product should be equal the sum of all superscripts of the reactant and total of all subscripts of the product should be equal the sum of all subscripts of the reactant.  Coefficients are used to point out the number of nuclides.
