The functions that organisms will perform to support six people for two years in a self-contained space station to be assembled in orbit to create an ecosystem.
Introduction:
An ecosystem consists of both biotic (living organisms) and abiotic (physical) factors. No individual can survive without plants on earth, as plants provide us oxygen for breathing. To maintain ecological balance animals are also as much necessary as plants. The selection of organisms and the number of them is very important for creating an ecosystem. If we take more plants then they may become congested and die and if we use more animals then they will consume more oxygen which less plants could not produce, thus animals will die.
