Given information: The table is provided in the question.

In the first row of the table, the mass number of Br is 81 and the atomic number of Br is 35 . The number of protons and the number of electrons correspond to the atomic number in a neutral atom. The overall charge is negative, when the number of electrons is greater than the number of protons while the overall charge is positive, when the number of electrons are less than the number of protons. The number of neutrons in 3581Br is calculated as follows.

number of neutrons=mass numberatomic number=8135=46

Therefore, the number of protons in Br is 35 . As the charge on the anion is 1 , the number of electrons is 36 . The number of neutrons is 46 .

In the second row of the table, the number of protons is 38 which corresponds to the atomic number. The number of electrons is 36 . This means that the number of electrons is less than the number of protons by 2 . Now, the number of neutrons is 50 . So, the mass number of the atom is calculated as follows.
