Ancient greeks discovered constellations in the northern sky before the modern period and found them to be bright. Modern scientists studied astronomy between 15th and 18th century and identified constellations in the southern sky.

These constellations consists of faint stars. Among these constellations in the souther sky, ancient people were also able to identify few of them.
