Question
Chapter 2, Problem 1CSB
Summary Introduction
To explain: The major losses resulting from diarrhea and fever.
Concept introduction: When three or more excretions of loose stool occur, the condition is called as diarrhea. Diarrhea can last from a day to several days and leads to fluid loss. The normal body temperature range is 37.5°C to 38.3°C (98.4°F to 100.9°F). Pyrexia, fever, or febrile response is the condition where the body temperature rises above 38.3°C. When temperature increases, it triggers muscle contractions and causes a cold.
