Interpretation Introduction

Interpretation:

Adenine phosphoribosyltransferase converts adenine to AMP. If you were to determine whether a similar reaction converts adenine directly to dAMP, what metabolite would you need to find in cells at appreciable concentrations?

Concept Introduction:

Thymidine kinase enzyme helps to convert AMP to deoxyribonucleotide. There are four different kinases that can accomplish the same reaction. Two different kinases are found in the mitochondria and he remaining two are found in the cytosol of the cell.
