The reason behind the depletion of the oxygen in the water of the dead zone.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
The lack of oxygen in the water bodies kills the useful bacteria of the water. The plants growing below the water die by chocking because of zero supply of oxygen. The aquatic animals also die due to low oxygen content.
Dead zones are areas in the large oceans, which has a huge amount of organic nutrients caused due to the over activities of humans. The human activities like household washing, industrial waste, and other waste materials add a huge amount of organic substances in the water bodies. The water bodies grow algal bloom on the surface of the water. The algal bloom or growth of algae uses the oxygen of the water body for growing. The reduction in oxygen has many adverse effects on the living organisms of the water body.
