Tobacco smoking is extremely expensive to our society in economic and health costs as well as in human suffering. How would you solve the tobacco smoking problem? How would you specifically target young people?
Yes, I do, although I feel they're lacking in some areas. They don't prevent people who smoke from smoking in personal spaces (car, home, etc.) or with friends, but they do protect people who haven't consented to the risk of secondhand smoke from being exposed to it in public-use indoor spaces, like businesses, schools, and public transportation. It also makes exceptions for the use of smoke in Native American ceremonies. However, since the nicotine found in cigarettes and vapes is highly addictive and can lead to withdrawal symptoms that can interfere with daily life. I do think that more accommodations need to be made for people who smoke to make the law easier to comply with. If they can't smoke inside in public spaces during one of our harsh Minnesota winters, then there should be more sheltered outdoor spaces - possibly with heating, similar to Metro Transit sheltered stops - for people who smoke to go to in order to quell their symptoms.
Do you agree or disagree why?

There I am standing by the shore of a swiftly flowing river and I hear the cry of a drowning man. So I jump into the river, reach him, pull him to shore, apply artificial respiration, and then just as he begins to breathe, another cry for help. So back in the river again, reaching, pulling, applying, breathing, and then another yell. Again and again, without end, goes the sequence.
