Period Costs:
Period costs are costs incurred periodically with no relation to the production.
Product Costs:
The costs which are concerned directly with production of product are called product costs.
Cost of goods manufactured:
The total cost incurred in manufacturing a product is called cost of goods manufactured. The cost of goods manufacture is a combination of raw materials cost, direct labor costs and the manufacturing overhead cost incurred on the production of a product.
To determine:

a. Determine whether the costs are period cost or product costs.
b. Determine the product cost as direct materials, direct labor, or manufacturing overhead.
