Introduction:

Tundra is one of the major terrestrial biome that covers widespread regions of the Arctic. That is present between taiga and polar ice. Trees and other tall plants are absent or rarely present in the arctic tundra. Some factors such, as permafrost, bitterly cold temperature and high winds are mainly responsible for the rarity of trees in the arctic tudra.
