There are some minerals that are consumed in large amounts by the humans. The daily consumption and the body requirement of such minerals are more than 100milligrams per day. Such minerals are called major minerals. Some of them are carbon hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, iron, calcium, magnesium and some others. It accounts for almost about 0.05% of the total body weight.
