To determine:

a) The balanced chemical equation describing the transformation of mineral anorthite ($CaA{l}_{2}S{i}_2{O}_8$) to a mixture of three minerals: grossular $\left[C{a}_{3}A{l}_2{\left(Si{O}_4\right)}_3\right]$, kyanite ($A{l}_{2}Si{O}_5$), and quartz ($Si{O}_2$).

b) The charges and formulas of the silicate anions in anorthite, grossular, and kyanite.
